Birthdays

Erik Larsen 1962, comic book writer, artist, and publisher. He is best known for his work on Savage Dragon, as one of the founders of Image Comics, and for his work on Spider-Man for Marvel Comics.
David Lasky 1967, alternative cartoonist, Lasky's first two full-length comic books were Arrabbiata Comics and Monster City Comics.
Percy Leo Crosby 1891, author, illustrator and cartoonist. He is best known for his 1923 to 1945 comic strip Skippy, a popular and acclaimed feature adapted into movies, a novel, and a radio show, and commemorated on a 1997 U.S. Postal Service stamp. The strip, an inspiration for Charles Schulz's Peanuts, is considered by comics historians a "classic... which innovated a number of sophisticated and refined touches used later by Charles Schulz and Bill Watterson."
