Daily Birthdays and Events in Sci-Fi, Comics and related areas

April 28, 2011

Terry Pratchett, Good Omens, Sgt Fury and his Howling Commandos, Adv. of Captain Marvel, Starman, Dark Angel, Heroes, Max Headroom, The Flintstones.

Today is Terry Pratchett's birthday. The reason I mention this is because he is one writer whom I would love to get a book signed from. Quite a few years ago I met up with Neil Gaiman and had him sign the book Good Omens, which he co-wrote with Terry. As it is I happened I had purchased from a used book store an British copy of the book and Neil was impressed to see a different version then he was used to signing. Terry doesn't come to Canada very often and also suffers from Alzheimer's disease so my chances are limited to ever have him sign it. So in a nut shell, here I sit with a book half signed and no real way to have it signed anytime soon. And that my friends is why I made note of Terry's birthday.

Enjoy !!!
