Grass Green 1939, comic artist, notable for being the first black participant in both the 1960s fan art movement and the 1970s underground comics movement.[2] Popular creations included Xal-Kor the Human Cat and Wildman and Rubberroy. In 1967, Green broke into the professional comics world, collaborating with Roy Thomas on "The Shape" in Charlton Premiere #1. In the late 1960s, Green drew several more humorous strips for Charlton Comics, mostly in Go-Go Comics.

Michael T. Gilbert 1951, He worked on the celebrated Elric series with P. Craig Russell, and is best known as the creator of Mr. Monster, which has been published by Pacific Comics, Eclipse Comics and Dark Horse Comics since 1984. He has also worked on Harlan Ellison's Dream Corridor, Heavy Metal, Legends of the Dark Knight, Marvel Double-shot (starring Dr. Strange) and in 2000 wrote and illustrated a Superman graphic novel, “Mann & Superman." In recent years he's written or drawn characters as diverse as Superman, Batman, Donald Duck and Mickey Mouse. He has been a scriptwriter for Disney comics since 1990, as has his wife Janet Gilbert. Stan Goldberg 1932, comic book artist best known for his work as a flagship artist of Archie Comics and as a Marvel Comics' 1960s colorist, who helped design the original color schemes of Spider-Man, the Fantastic Four and other major characters. Goldberg stopped freelancing for Marvel in 1969,[5] and for three years drew the DC Comics teen titles Date with Debbie, Swing with Scooter and Binky. Floyd Gottfredson 1905, cartoonist best known for his defining work on the Mickey Mouse comic strip. Gottfredson's first daily strip was published in newspapers on his 25th birthday, May 5, 1930. On January 17, 1932 he began work on the newly inaugurated Mickey Mouse color Sunday strip which, in addition to the daily, he continued through mid-1938.

Adam Hughes 1967, comic book artist known mostly for his renditions of pinup-style female characters, and his cover work on titles such as Wonder Woman and Catwoman. He has also had stints on Penthouse Comix, Legionaires and PlayStation Magazine. In late 1998 he began a successful five-year run as cover artist on DC Comics Wonder Woman, which brought him critical acclaim. Robert C. Johnson 1920, voice actor, He supplied his voice to several episodes of Star Trek: The Original Series. He did not receive on-screen credit for his work. He also did voice work on several episodes of The Outer Limits, including "Corpus Earthling". But he is most famous as the Control Voice on all but a few of the episodes of the original seven seasons of Mission: Impossible, hired on for that role by his friend, creator and producer Bruce Geller. He was the "voice on disc" for the 1990's revival of the series as well.

Doug Wildey 1922, cartoonist, most famous for his co-creation of the acclaimed animated television series, Jonny Quest (1964) for Hanna-Barbera Productions, and being a comic book artist. In addition to Jonny Quest, he also co-created the Herculoids and Jana of the Jungle television properties. Howard Cruse 1944, alternative cartoonist known for the exploration of gay themes in his comics. Cruse's cartooning first attracted nation-wide attention in the 1970s, when he contributed to underground comix publications. His best-known character from this period was Barefootz, the title character of a surreal series about a good-natured, well-dressed young man with large bare feet. In 1979, when he began editing Gay Comix, a new anthology featuring comix by openly gay and lesbian cartoonists. For much of the 1980s, he created Wendel, a strip (1-2 pages per episode) about an irrepressible and idealistic gay man, his lover Ollie, and a cast of diverse urban characters. Cruse spent the first half of the 1990s creating Stuck Rubber Baby, a 210-page graphic novel commissioned by editor Mark Nevelow for his DC Comics imprint Piranha Press but eventually published by DC's Paradox Press. Cruse briefly wrote a column in a comic book review magazine, Comics Scene, under the rhyming masthead "Loose Cruse".

The strip was one of the first very successful Dutch newspaper comics, the first Dutch comic moralists, and the first Dutch comic translated into other languages. It ran from May 2, 1922 until November 17, 1937 in the Dutch papers Het Volk and Voorwaarts, drawn by the Flemish artist George Van Raemdonck, who had moved to the Netherlands as a war refugee in 1914, and Dutch writer A.M. de Jong. Christopher Moeller 1963, writer and painter, His professional debut was in 1991, writing and painting Innovation Comic's Rocketman: King of the Rocketmen. This was followed by a run on Anne Rice's Interview with the Vampire, also from Innovation, for which he provided artwork and a number of cover illustrations. He also did James Bond covers, a number of Star Wars covers, and a "pop-up" Star Wars book called Battle of the Bounty-Hunters. In 1998, Moeller wrote and painted his second Iron Empires graphic novel Sheva's War for the short-lived Science Fiction imprint of DC Comics, Helix. That was followed by a run of covers for DC's Batman monthly comic book Shadow of the Bat. In 2000, he wrote and painted the graphic novel JLA: A League of One. He did an extended run of covers for the Vertigo monthly comic book Lucifer. In 2005, he wrote and painted the graphic novel JLA Classified: Cold Steel.

Tim Sale 1956, comic book artist, He began doing art for the series Myth Adventures in 1983, and was soon working on Thieves' World. The body of Sale's comics work has been with collaborator Jeph Loeb. The duo, credited in their comics as 'storytellers', produced popular work such as Batman: The Long Halloween, Batman: Dark Victory, and the so-called 'color' books for Marvel Comics starring characters such as Spider-Man, Daredevil, and Hulk. Tim Sale is currently working on artwork for the television program Heroes.[3] His artwork appears in the show as the work of the precognitive artist Isaac Mendez as well as other artists on the show. Mendez's work in the 9th Wonders! comic book on the show is also the work of Sale. Additionally, the font used throughout the show in the various captions and credits was created by Sale and is based on his handwriting style.
