With a great line-up with today I'd like to point out the cartoonist Bud Fisher, and actor Marlon Brando.



Birthdays

Bud Fisher 1885, cartoonist, In late-1907, he introduced a comic strip character he called "Mr. A. Mutt" (the initial stood for Augustus) that became instantly popular with the paper's readers. In March 1908, Fisher added a second character he named "Jeff," a diminutive man, the opposite of the tall and skinny Mutt. The "Mutt and Jeff" comic strip gained such popularity that Fisher, who was able to claim copyright to the characters
Skottie Young 1978, comic book artist, Young has penciled several Marvel titles including New Warriors, Human Torch, Spider-Man Legend of the Spider Clan and New X-Men. He's done covers for Cable & Deadpool and Marvel Adventures Iron Man as well. Until recently, he was a regular on the Around Comics podcast and he's currently working on an adaptation of The Wonderful Wizard of Oz for Marvel Illustrated.

2002, Star Trek:Enterprise, "Oasis" airs.
