My all time favorite TV show was Firefly and so it brings me great joy to say it's Nathan Fillion's birthday today. Browncoats forever !!!

Also I always wondered what people sang for birthdays before Patty Smith Hill (who was born on this day) wrote the song "Happy Birthday to You".

Carl Barks 1901, Disney Studio illustrator and comic book creator, who invented Duckburg and many of its inhabitants, such as Scrooge McDuck (1947), Gladstone Gander (1948), the Beagle Boys (1951), Gyro Gearloose (1952), Flintheart Glomgold (1956), John D. Rockerduck (1961) and Magica De Spell (1961). Carl also was the writer on 40 different shorts or series. He also was an animator for the 1936 Disney animation short "Thru the Mirror".
