Gary Lee Shipman 1966, comic book illustrator and writer. Shipman, with wife Rhoda Shipman, created the independently produced comic book series Pakkins' Land, both plotting out the stories together and Gary scripting, lettering, penciling, and inking the illustrations for the series. Shipman's artistic talents can also be found elsewhere. In 1987, he co-created the superhero character Edge for Silverwolf Comics, and illustrated the first 3 issues of that series. In 1997, he illustrated the cover of Issue # 19 of the comic series OZ, based on the books and characters of L. Frank Baum. In 1998, he illustrated the cover of Parables & Proverbs. Michael Lynch 1982, comic book writer, based in the West of Ireland. Michael is currently working on a super hero series called Black Star for a comic book called Ri Ra. His work on Ri Ra was in the May 2009 issue, and again can be seen in a new issue coming out April 2010. Michael has on-going work (February 2009, and September 2010 of this year) with a Belfast based sci fi anthology called Future Quake, and a Dublin based comic book called Havoc 21, which is currently finalizing it's production and will be printed soon. |

Todd McFarlane 1961, comic book artist, In the late 1980s and early 1990s, McFarlane became a popular comic book artist due to his work on Marvel Comics' Spider-Man franchise.
