Pablo Marcos 1937, comic book artist, Pablo is one of the most popular Peruvian comic artists, best known for work as an inker on many DC and Marvel titles in the USA. He worked on comic strips for the Peruvian press during the 1960s, like 'Benito Puma' and 'James Bond'. He started his career in the American comics field in the 1970s, when he settled in New Jersey. After some first jobs with Sol Brodsky for Skywald Publishing, he went to work for publishers such as Marvel, DC, Atlas and Warren. Working in a style similar to that of Neal Adams, he drew for Seaboard Comics titles like 'Ironjaw', 'The Brute', and 'Devilina', and contributed to Warren's horror magazines. His inking credits for the big companies include 'Batman', 'Star Trek', 'Green Arrow', 'Warlord', 'Spider Man', 'Conan', 'Avengers', 'Fantastic Four', 'Captain America' and 'Jungle Action'. More recently, Marcos has been working for Dynamic Forces, doing a 'Red Sonja' one-shot. He is also a contributor to Heavy Metal Magazine ('Norka') and Frank Frazetta Magazine ('OM'). |
