Frank Puglia
was born today. He starred as Dr. Leonardo in 20 Million Miles to Earth. A cool bit of trivia is that the movie was partially produced in Rome. It was chosen as the location for filming because Harryhausen, the stop-motion animation talent, wanted to vacation there. The working title of the film was The Giant Ymir, and it has also been released as The Beast from Space.

Also check out the cartoonist, Paul Fung Jr., his contributions to the Blondie comic and newspaper strip are legendary.

Paul Fung Jr. 1923, cartoonist who drew the Blondie comic book for 40 years. He also was Chic Young's assistant on the Blondie newspaper strip from 1949 until 1965. Fung Jr. also contributed to the Blondie comic book with his Flash Foley, News Photographer stories.

  1. Wow, you got the date correct that Space Patrol began as a local show in Los Angeles! Most sites are off on the dates and facts about the show, but you're right on!
